One more week left of school!

This week has been rough to say the least. All of my classes have required a final presentation to end the semester with. So, everyday this week I have\and going to have a presentation. Lucky me! NOT! I hate presentations, I would rather take a test then have to present. Every time I present I get to nervous, I stutter, and I shake, it is not a pretty sight. Today I have a presentation in my MCOM-Business writing class and I'm sooooo scared. Last night I was stressing out so much I started crying. I just hope that it will go by fast! After all my presentations are done this week I have about 3 days to study for 4 of my final exams, then---I'm home free for about 3 weeks until it starts all over again for winter semester.

Blind Dates

So I thought that I would post this blog post from my husbands blog and see how many comments I could get about this specific subject. I love the way my husband writes he is sooo good! Everything he writes about on his blog makes me laugh. I wish that I was able to write the way he does. I hope that everyone who reads this blog gets a good laugh, because most of us have been in these situations of being set up on a blind date before. I have to say though, blind dates actually do work. My husband and I met on a blind date, not thinking that it would work out, but eventually it did. In the end, it did take me a lot of blind dates to find the one who I did marry. I never liked blind dates until I was set up with the right person. So here it is!

First Dates Suck (written by Chris Dayley)

So...

A while ago I was set up on a blind date by one of my buddies, who typically had good taste in women and whom I thought I could trust to set me up on a legit date. We masterfully crafted a date that was sure to woo any girl, and which was geared around spending a lot of 'quality' one-on-one time with our dates. (What we actually did was jack some peoples paddle boats and paddle around one of those lakeside neighborhoods.)

Welllllll, I wouldn't classify myself as a 'shallow' guy, I just know what I like, and it didn't take long to figure out that I was not going to be calling this girl again. Probably about 12 seconds. Nevertheless, I was committed to being a fun date, so I wasn't rude or anything. We had planned a movie first so we could get some cuddle on. Well I certainly couldn't be so cruel as to not cuddle with my date when everyone else was, so we cuddled and enjoyed the movie.

Anyways, to make a long story short, we had a fun date but as predicted, I never called the girl again. This is where the story starts to suck. Well, like 3 years later, (like a month ago) I had that same buddy who had set me up with that girl come up to Utah to visit me. He said he had some girls up here we could visit so I of course obliged and we went to visit them. How surprised was I when some random girl that I didn't know came up and hugged me and said "Hey Chris! I haven't seen you in forever!". Awwwwwwkward. I had no idea who she was. Well, my friend reminded me that it was that girl he had set me up with years ago. Like a punch to the mouth I recalled the date and laughed at the unthinkably small chances that I would ever run into this girl again, let alone hundreds of miles from where I had taken her out.

Maybe we were destined to be wed? WRONG. I spent most of the night glued to my friend, and tried not to make it awkward. Anyways, this is why I hate first dates. I can usually tell within the first 30 seconds if it is gonna work out or not, and if it doesn't, boy it can suck if you ever see that person again!

Thanksgiving

I have been waiting for Thanksgiving Break for 2 months! And now.... It is finally here!!! This has been the longest semester ever. I can't wait to finally be with my family and spend time with them. I'm super excited for Black Friday, my mom and I go crazy for Black Friday. This year we want to get everyone who is coming with us shopping T Shirts that say "Black Friday 2011" on them, so hopefully we can get those done before Friday. This Christmas is Chris and I's first Christmas being married. It has been stressful trying to figure out everyone's Christmas gifts and deciding on how much we are going to spend on each person. Luckily, I have been finding a lot of "Make It Your Own Christmas Gifts" on Pinterest that have saved us so much money. Anyways until next time

Christmas!

I'm so excited for Christmas this year! This is going to be a new experience for Chris and I because it is the first Christmas we have had sense we have been married. Last Christmas was the day Chris and I got engaged, so Christmas is a pretty memorable day for us. I can't wait to also see my parents for Thanksgiving and Christmas, I haven't seen them for so long it seems like. I love trying to find gifts for Christmas it is my favorite thing ever. I sometimes love giving gifts more then getting them. I want to start making some new Christmas decorations soon! I have the perfect gift for my mom this year for Christmas and I can't wait to give it to her, I have wanted to give this gift to her sense the summer. I hope that she loves it and I hope that it means a lot to her. I love my mom and dad so much I couldn't be more grateful them. I'm just so blessed to have such wonderful family, friends, and husband.

Trick Or Treating

Happy Halloween! unfortunately Chris and I don't have a lot going on tonight, this tends to happen when you grow older, get married and don't have any children there is not a lot of things to do for Halloween. I wish that we had children to take Trick Or Treating I love Halloween for that reason only. I guess we will just watch Halloween movies, make Halloween treats, and go to bed.
This last weekend there were so many Halloween events going on. I was part of a Halloween Carnival Thursday, and all day friday which was such a pain to decorate and plan. There were over 2,000 people who came, it was a success. Then all day Saturday and all Saturday night I planned a Halloween party at Chris's parents house which turned out to be one of the best halloween parties I have ever planned and been to. It was so much fun! we planned games like bobbling for apples, donut eating contest, and a costume contest. Best party ever! There were so many people who came to! Anyways, I congratulate any of you who have the opportunity go Trick Or Treating. Take advantage of these wonderful memories.

Changing my Life One Step at a Time

So last night my wonderful husband Chris brought me home some health products from Unicity International where he works, and I have to say that I'm converted from just three of the products that I have had . The company is an MLA company which sells weight loss products. Some of their main products that they sell are called Slim, and Macha, but they also have many more products on their website. I'm not going to lie, I was skeptical about this whole weight loss product. It is hard to sometimes trust those weight loss products but, after taking three of their products just starting last night I feel like they are really the best health product I have had. They not only taste so good, but they make me feel good.

Slim:

Now without artificial flavoring and sweeteners. Drinking Bios Life Slim® two to three times a day before meals trains your body to burn away excess fat forever—without the jitters, hunger, or confusion of weight-loss products or programs—creating a slimmer, more active, more attractive you. *Copied from Unicity International Website

Who Has The Best Hot Chocolate In Utah?

So last year Chris and I decided to go to every restaurant or gas station in the Northern Utah area that offers Hot Chocolate. We decided to go to these restaurants because we were on a HUNT to find the BEST hot chocolate and choose which place sells the best Hot Chocolate. So far we have been to these locations: (1) Kneaders (2) The Chocolate (3) Starbucks (4) Maverick (5) I hop (6) Paradise Bakery (7) Zupas (8) Great Harvest (9) McDonalds (10) Coca Bean (11) and Dennys

How is the Hot Chocolate Judged?

The hot chocolate is judged on these four guidelines:
Taste- Does the Hot Chocolate have enough chocolate in it? Does the Hot Chocolate have too much hot chocolate? Out of 10 points
Whipped Cream- Does the whipped cream taste like it came out of the store? Or does it taste like it is home made? Does the hot chocolate come with a lot of whipped cream? Or does it not come with any or little? Based out of 10 points
Temperature-How hot is the Hot Chocolate? does it burn your mouth when you drink it? Is it too cold? Based out of 10 points
Look-Does the Hot Chocolate look like it doesn't taste very good? Or does it look like it looks too good to drink? Out of 10 points
Price- Is the hot chocolate too expensive? Or Is the hot chocolate too cheap? Based out of 10 points

So far Chris and I have judged Dennys as the Best Hot Chocolate in Utah
The second and very close competitor was The Chocolate- The only thing the Hot Chocolate missed was the Whipped Cream part- They didn't hardly have any :(

Starbucks-Tastes like water-Way too hot-Whipped cream taste like it came from a store
Maverick- Their hot chocolate has too much chocolate in it-I can only drink half of it because it is too sweet- they also don't have any whipped cream-you can't have hot chocolate without the whipped cream
Coca Bean-Surprisingly their hot chocolate was gross-it taste like water
McDonalds-Had pretty good hot chocolate but it had a coffee taste to it and not enough chocolate in it (no it was not coffee)

This next year Chris and I will travel to other potential winners of the Hot Chocolate Contest
If anyone has any suggestions feel free to comment! Make sure you describe why the hot chocolate is the best!

An assignment I wish I never had

New Assignment,
My teacher Professor Clarke assigned the class to go out and pay for a strangers food over the weekend and to write about the experience in the blog. As many of you may know, I am married and it would essentially be an awkward situation to buy another mans food. If I were to ask a girl if I could buy her food she would probably start to think that I thought she couldn't pay for her own food. Awkward again. This assignment should only be for the single people who want to pick up on chicks or guys, It's perfect of them! not an old married couple like myself. So I started to think, how can I make this assignment not so weird? then, I thought, why don't I buy a dessert for a stranger anomalously so they don't know who gave it to them. Great idea, that way both people involved don't have to feel weird about the situation. At first, I wanted to find an old couple at some random restaurant that my husband and I went to and would pay for their dessert when leaving. Humm... great idea. days later I forgot about the assignment. Coming up on Saturday Chris and I wanted to go to the gateway mall in Salt Lake City, there we shopped, and went to Tucanos. It was at Tucanos I remembered that I needed to do this assignment. Fortunately for me there were 2 wedding reception lunch-eons going on at the same time we were there. So I decided to buy the wedding couple a slice of cake before we left. The end

Families are Forever

This last weekend Chris and I got to experience a sealing between my cousin Aubrey, her husband Nic, and their cute little son Dominic at the Manti Temple. It was such a wonderful experience to be their and to share those memories with them. It is such a great feeling to see them get sealed for time and all eternity. I'm so proud of them to make that decision. They looked so beautiful. The Manti Temple was amazing! And now I love that temple. It looks so historic, and beautiful. What a wonderful thing to do over the weekend.
Chris and I are going to look at houses this weekend with our realtor, we are so excited to see some houses! I can't wait until we are able to start a family together. Every time I go shopping all I want to do is look at baby clothes and buy them, but I'm not pregnant so I can't :( Hopefully soon I will be :)

Life and Everything In It

This last weekend Chris and I spent time over at "The Dayley's" residence. It was lots of fun! Chris and I spent the night, which followed by conference in the morning, and halloween treats in the evening. I got to spend time with my best friend Katie Perez Saturday night while the men went to Priesthood Meeting. Katie and I went to "Awful Waffle" YUMM!, the mall, and to our favorite cupcake place the "Cocoa Bean." I love being with Katie we have so many good chats and talks about life. I'm so grateful to have such wonderful friends.
My new favorite obsession lately is Pinterest, seriously the best thing ever! I can spend hours on that site looking for new recipes and new craft ideas. Soon after school starts to slow down again I'm going to make a gum ball machine to put in our apt. Chris and I found the perfect house yesterday by our relator, and the perfect price. I can't wait to go see it, I'm so excited. I want to move in right now! I just love when life comes together the way you have always planned. I'm so blessed.

I'm going to write "Meals of the Day" each day for dinner on my new chalkboard frame.

The frame that I'm going to put my flower decor on

Wall Decor

This is my paper wreath that I made and I'm going to glue it onto my big square frame.

Crafts Crafts Crafts!

Last week I got so tiered of studying and reading, I decided to take a break so I went to DI and I got a bunch of frames for $2.00-$5.00 that I could fix up into somethings cute. I went and bought the paint that I wanted (Baby blue) and some chalkboard paint. I didn't think that my projects would take that long but it ended up taking me about two days to finish. The chalkboard paint is actually in a spray can so of course I ended up spraying the projects in my apt and it got my apt all FUMMED UP! For days it smelt like paint! Luckily they are all now finished. I'm looking forward for Christmas because I want to do some more crafts for my parents as gifts. I will post the pictures of my crafts as soon as I can.
I can't wait for this week to be over with. I have this major grammar test for my business class, and I'm not excited for it at all! This semester is going by fast at least. I just want to be done. After this semester I don't have any hard classes so I'm looking forward to that. Other then that, life is great!
Until next time

Busy Week

Last weekend was a busy week for Chris and I. Chris was working all weekend in Park City for a trade show his company was doing, and I was hanging out with my parents who came up for the weekend. I barley got to see Chris! :( This week Chris and I are only doing things with each other. No family, and No friends! just the two of us! This coming weekend I want to surprise Chris with a weekend getaway to Park City and enjoy the weekend together. SHHH... don't tell!
Halloween is coming up so fast! I love halloween so much and I'm excited for all the fun crafts I will be doing. Hopefully I will have time for everything I want to do.
By for now,

So I thought that I would comment on the concert that Chris and I just went to this last weekend. Chris and I ended up going to the Rascal Flatts concert where we had front row seats in the middle. It was such a fun experience. Rascal Flatts are so much better live then they are recorded which is odd for a band. Sara Evans was the band who played before Rascal Flatts and she was also amazing live, I love her new music thats coming out. I couldn't believe that Sara has 7 children I feel like that's odd for someone who is famous.
I can't wait for school to end this semester! I just dropped a class because my load of work was to much for me to handle. So next semester I will take more classes just easier ones. I can't wait for Chris and I to both be done with school. I just want to be able to start our lives. Chris and I both want to start having children but, I don't want to have children until I'm done with school so I'm trying to hurry that process along by taking more classes.
By for now,
Jamie

Rascal Flatts!

Today Chris and I are going to the Rascal Flatts concert! Chris had bought me front row tickets for my B-Day and I'm so excited. Tonight is going to be such a wonderful night. I have been wanting to see Rascal Flatts in concert for soooo long. We are first going out to dinner in Salt Lake then going to the concert. I feel like this is what I need this weekend, I have been working so hard in school and trying to keep up with everything it has been so busy. It will be nice to spend time together sense Chris is working and going to school we never see each other that much anymore. Just 2 more semesters and I will be done with school! I'm ready to graduate. I have been in school for 4 years already because of dance, and It's about time I finish.
Chris and I met with our Mortgage Guy yesterday and got approved for a loan. We want to buy a house eventually, but not until we are done with school and have decided when we want to start having kids. But will see, we don't know what will happen.
That is it for now! Until next time

The Things I Do For School!

Okay, so I know that I haven't been the best blogger in the world and I only upload pictures. I don't like writing in a blog. My life is to busy with school and hanging out with my wonderful husband to care about writing. Unfortunately starting school again brings me to new classes and new teachers who require different homework assignments. For my Business Writing class I'm required to write in my blog each week uggg... honestly? Not only do I have to write in a blog each week but I have to get a Twitter account! My worst nightmare. I hate Twittter! I feel like I have better things to do then to be checking people's statuses everyday. It's bad enough with Facebook. Sure I love to go and look at Facebook everyday to see what my friends and family have been doing, but I don't want people I don't know trying to talk to me. Maybe I'm being a little to harsh I don't know.

Things have been so busy lately, with school and work starting. I feel like I never get to see Chris that often. Chris just started a new job doing SEO and he loves it! I'm glad that he loves doing what he loves it makes me super happy. It's been four months sense Chris and I have been married and it's gone by so fast. We love being married, and are so happy together. Anyways this is the end of my blog post for today. Until next week.
Love Jamie
